Ducati Panigale De Cat
We were approached by a local Motorcycle tuning specialist P3 Tuning to develop a sports de cat pipe for a new Ducati 959 Panigale
After arranging the bike to be brought down to our workshop in Burscough Lancs L40 8TG, we set about developing some tight 60mm radius bends with no restrictions and a correct tuned length. After the 3rd developed design was finished, we knew we had a great de cat pipe that was the correct length and could be manufactured again without costing too much workshop time . The weight saving on both standard and aftermarket pipe was as follows
Standard box 5.850 KG’s MTC Pipe 1.30 KG’s
Once the bike was built back up and ready to leave, it was transported back to the P3 Dyno.
The end result for the Panigale 959…with a Quill Performance Exhausts Motorbike Exhausts De-Cat K&N air filter then custom ECU mapping means a healthy 10bhp peak power gain along with 5 ft lbs of torque‼️ Very happy!
So in all a weight saving of 4.55 KG’s , an extra 10 BHP and 5 FT LB’s of more torque.
